Delta Robot Pick & Place
Overhead 3-axis robot picks from a moving belt into trays or cartons.

Delta robots (the upside-down tripod kind — ABB FlexPicker style) are built for one job: pick small items from a moving belt and place them somewhere precise, very fast. Compared to hand-packing, one delta cell replaces 3–6 packers and never gets tired in the second half of the shift.
Step by step
- 01
A camera above the infeed belt locates every product and notes its position and angle.
- 02
The vision system streams coordinates to the delta controller in real time.
- 03
The robot picks each item on the fly with a vacuum cup or soft gripper.
- 04
A second camera (or fixed coordinates) tells it where the tray pocket is.
- 05
The robot places the item, orients it, and goes back for the next one — typically a full cycle in 0.4 seconds.
- 06
Tray-full sensor pushes the loaded tray on; an empty tray slides in.
What's in the cell
- Parallel-arm delta robot (ABB, Omron, or equivalent)
- Vision system with backlit conveyor for product location
- Vacuum generator + EOAT (end-of-arm tooling) custom to your product
- Infeed conveyor with encoder for belt tracking
- Outfeed tray indexer or denester
- Safety enclosure with light curtains
Where it fits
- Biscuits and crackers into trays before wrap
- Chocolate into thermoformed pockets
- Tea bags into outer cartons
- Electronics components onto trays
- Medical disposables into blister packs
- Frozen items onto wrappers
Sized to your line
These ranges cover most installations — exact spec depends on your product, throughput target, and integration constraints. We confirm everything before quoting.
Best paired with a slow-running infeed so the robot has time to track each unit. We design the gripper around your product (vacuum, soft silicone, magnetic) and validate against your speed target before commissioning.

Vision Sorting System
Line-scan camera with air-jet ejectors removes off-spec product in milliseconds.

Auto Labelling Machine
Servo-driven applicator wipes a label onto every passing unit, sensor-triggered.

Filling & Counting Station
Counts units into bags or boxes (or fills by weight/volume) and auto-stops when the target is reached.

Weight Check & Reject (Checkweigher)
Inline checkweigher verifies fill weight on every unit at line speed and ejects fails.
